The LS KDS Utility is a stand-alone program to manage the configuration of the Kitchen Service. This can come in handy if there is no Dynamics NAV client installed on the server where the Kitchen Service is running.
Start the KDS Utility by double-clicking the desktop shortcut, or locate it in the application file C:\Program Files\LS Retail\Kitchen Service\LS KDS Utility.exe and double-click it.
Most of the fields available are the same as in the Kitchen service configuration in LS Nav Hospitality.
There are a few fields, however, which do not apply to the LS Nav Hospitality configuration and are to be ignored. These fields are:
| Data Area Id | This is the NAV Company name, and it is automatically sent from the NAV configuration. |
| Cache item routing values | This applies if the item routing is done by the KDS itself, like for the LS First POS. |
| Cache refresh interval (mins.) | This applies if the item routing is done by the KDS itself, like for the LS First POS. |
The check box Use NAV database must be selected for the LS Nav Hospitality system.
If changes have been made, click the Create / Update KM Configbutton to save the Kitchen Service configuration.
Restart the Kitchen Service.
